I’m a Seattle-based data nerd who also likes to take photos.

I usually focus on landscapes and urban scenes, in keeping with my two main hobbies: outdoors and travel. Ever since my Intro to Film class in grad school, I’ve been obsessed with the perfect scene. My goal in photography is to accurately capture the world however it exists in the moment. My first photography instructor taught me the importance of framing a photo as you take it, rather than cropping it later. In keeping with his minimalist approach, I do virtually no photo editing beyond conversion from color to black & white or adjusting the exposure (I’m always either slightly over- or underexposed).

I don’t even know how to use Photoshop.
